Over 100 years ago, the fountain pen was invented. Innovations came rapidly and fountain pens soon became attractive, reliable writing tools. The "golden age of fountain pens" had begun.
The Bexley Pen Company was founded in 1993 by a handful of pen enthusiasts. After decades of admiring, collecting, and restoring vintage writing instruments, we wanted to use modern technology to create American classic designs reminiscent of this "golden age of fountain pens".
Our product designs take inspiration from these classics. Our Decoband and Ebonite Collections are made from the material that was popular before modern plastics came into use in the 1920's. The Equipoise Collection has the streamlined shape that was popular in everything from automobiles and locomotives to fountain pens during the 1930's.
We take great care to make distinctive writing instruments for the discerning customer. We use computer controlled equipment, and decades of precision manufacturing experience, to produced components to exacting specifications. Our skilled craftsmen then carefully hand assemble and polish each pen. We produce American classic designs of impeccable quality.
