"Lighter Collection"

The ultra-slim, elegant Caran d’Ache lighter – first launched in 1978 – is among the finest in the category of de luxe lighters and a triumph of precision engineering. It’s the only lighter in the world equipped with a reserve gas tank, a Caran d’Ache patent. Carved from a single block of metal, it requires 250 separate operations to be produced and comprises 84 individual components.

Parts are adjusted to 1/100th of a millimetre, as in the movements of high-precision watches. All functions are stringently checked in quality control. An individual number identifies each lighter throughout its long life. A model with carbon-fibre inlays recently completed the choice of finely engraved gold- and silver-plated models and those with a genuine Chinese lacquer coating.
