The Dragon Inkwell is the perfect symbiosis of four noble materials. The Dragon is in Sterling Silver (146 g.) with Ruby eyes and winds itself around the handcut piece of Rock Crystal, laying its head on the ink tank opening. The whole is framed in a luxurious lacquered Wooden base.
Montegrappa's artison further enhanced the casts by hand engraving, antiquing, and polishing the finished overlays. Rock Crystal was used for the appeal of its veining and for its solidity. The Dragon Inkwell is produced in a limited edition of 500 Sterling Silver pieces individually numbered and only 50 solid 18kt gold.
