The Gea Pen
|
Gea 2001 is the perfect blend of some of man's most intimate passions: travel, adventure, myth, luxury and technology. Inspired by a world map of the 1600's, the pattern is beautifully etched by burin on the cap and barrel reproducing respectively the Eastern and the Western hemispheres, as they were known at that time. One can imagine how hard the work must have been for navigators who had to draw their maps without the aid of modern technologies. Similar is the work of our skillful craftsman, using a burin to trace the outline of all continents on the cylindrical surface of the pen's body, accurately cutting their shape on a thin pure gold foil and applying it perfectly in place with the aid of an exclusive jewellery technique. Just like the adventurous navigators who opened the roads to the Oriental markets giving away to colonization and inner explorations, Montegrappa craftsman are there to explore new ways and technologies to create jewels for a select group of discerning people.
Today's luxury, as it was in the past, is all that is left to preserve art at its best form of expression and it has become our mission. Gea 2001 is also a tribute to our beautiful planet, still unexplored and unknown to most of us, that has been offered to us by the past generations to be safeguarded and handed down to future generations , and wants to be the symbol for all those who love and respect the Earth.
Silver Fountain pens with 24kt fold foil application and 200 roller balls, Gea 2001 is also available as a more exclusive version in 18kt gold with white gold foil application of only 100 fountain pens and 10 roller balls. Both versions of this piston fed fountain pen are fitted with an exquisitely etched partially platinum plated 18kt gold nib with an ebonite feeder ensuring a flawless writing performance.
With Gea 2001, man's most ambitious dream may come true: The world is in your hands!
