"The successful launch of the 1924 Skeleton pen in 1999 marked the beginning of the artisan group at Montblanc, which is dedicated to the development and production of the most valuable limited editions with the strictest limitations.

Fit on a red transparent precious resin body is a faceted 18-karat white gold filigree. Every other facet is inlaid with white diamonds, the remainder are left transparent red, representing the red and white stripes on the American flag.

The barrel end and cap top are adorned with a row of white diamonds, reminiscent of the thirteen original states and first American flag, designed by Betsy Ross. As a tribute to the spiritual father of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson is portrayed on the platinum-plated 18-karat gold nib. Thirteen selected signatures are finely engraved into the facets of the pen and the clip."
