Visconti The Dragon

The dragon, mythical symbol, common to both Eastern and Western cultures and civilizations (China celebrates 2000 as the year of the dragon), has inspired Visconti in yet another masterpiece of workmanship, giving it own personal interpretation to this theme.

The project has involved the Artist Claudio Mazzi, who has painted an explosive, terrifying portrait of the image chosen by Visconti, on each limited edition fountain pen.

Visconti adapted its "Millennium" edition to express this theme, substituting the "Power Filler" in place of the original "Crescent Filler" - considered aesthetically inappropriate to the design.

The difficulty involved in decorating a pen using aerographic techniques lies in the fact that the work can only be seen in fragmented pieces and impossible to see in it entirely. The talent of the artist in not only bravura, but virtuosity of the rarest beauty.

Limited Edition fountain pen with only 888 pieces available, in Lucite with aerograph painted decorations on the surface of the barrel and cap. New metal traveling inkwell is included with aerograph painted decorations even on the cap.
