ACME Beatles Please Please Me Pen and Card Case Limited Edition Set

Acme Beatles first release

"Ladies and Gentleman, THE BEATLES!"

  • Each card case set is packaged in mini album covers
  • Limited Edition of 1000
  • Part of a series of 13 limited edition pen and card case sets; one for each of all their 13 United Kingdom albums

Please Please Me is the first album recorded by The Beatles, rush-released on March 22, 1963 in the United Kingdom to capitalize on the success of singles "Please Please Me" (#2) and "Love Me Do" (#17). Of the album's fourteen songs, eight were written by Lennon/McCartney, early evidence of what Rolling Stone later called "invention of the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments.". The album was released by Parlophone in mono (catalogue number PMC 1202) and stereo (PCS 3042.)

  • Ten of the album’s fourteen tracks were recorded in just one day – 11th February, 1963.
